The story

Built for Joe. Made for you.

Joe has loved Dumble amplifiers for years, for their clarity, sustain and touch sensitivity. He asked Andy Fuchs for an amp to use in the studio and at small club gigs.

Andy tuned the ODS-Classic around Joe's taste by choosing both the type and the value of key components. The first amp reached Joe at the Bitter End in New York and needed no further tuning. Joe asked for a second one that matched it, then asked Fuchs to build the amp for his own store.

Every JB-ODS is tubed, biased, measured and play tested by Andy against the shop prototype. The rear panel carries a label signed by Joe and Andy.

  • 1x12, 100-watt combo with Joe's signature Celestion JB-85 speaker (8 ohm)
  • Two gain boosts. One keeps the tone controls in circuit, one bypasses them
  • Selectable mid-boost frequency and a three-position brite switch
  • Full-time effects loop, series or parallel, pedal or line level
  • 16-bit digital reverb from a Spin Semiconductor chip, with adjustable dwell
  • DC fan-cooled aluminum chassis that runs quietly
  • DC relay switching and regulated preamp filaments for low noise
  • Ruby Tubes selected JJs, with independent bias control on each power tube
  • White pine cabinet in black tolex with premium hardware
  • 2-way footswitch included. Ethernet connector for an optional Artist footswitch
