• Polished petrified wood stone
• The transformation from tree to rock began when trees fell in flash floods or volcanic events and were quickly covered with sediment which prevented oxidation. Mineral-rich ground water saturated the buried trees. Minerals displaced cellulose pre-serving tree features and giving the rock its color.
